How do I move my data to a new phone?
With the encrypted export. On the old phone: Profile › My data › Export encrypted copy. Choose a password and send the .silueto file wherever you like: Viber, email, a USB stick. On the new phone, install Silueto and pick “I have a copy from another phone” the first time it starts, or later go to Profile › My data › Import a copy. Enter the password and your data is restored.
I lost my phone, or deleted the app. Can you recover my data?
No. Not because we won’t: we never had it. There are no accounts and no copy on our side. Your data can only come back from an export you made earlier. On iPhone, an iCloud backup of the phone opens only on that same iPhone, so it won’t help on a new one.
I forgot the password for my copy. What now?
If you forget the password, the copy can’t be opened. There’s no reset: the password isn’t stored anywhere, not even on your phone. If the old phone still works, make a new export from it with a new password.
How do I delete my data?
Profile › My data › Delete all data. The app asks you to type DELETE so it can’t happen by accident. Uninstalling the app works too. Deletion is final: we have no copy to restore from. To delete one person’s data, go to Profile › People.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Romanian and Russian. The language changes instantly in Profile › Appearance › Language; “Same as phone” follows your phone.
How do the reminders work?
In Schedule you pick your measuring days, or a rhythm. On those days you get a reminder at 8:00 and, if you haven’t measured yet, another at 20:00. They’re scheduled on the phone and don’t need the internet. If they don’t show up, check that notifications for Silueto are on in your phone’s settings.
Is it free? Are there ads?
It’s free, with no ads and no subscription. There’s no analytics and no automatic crash reporting either.
Is there an Android version?
The first version is for iPhone. Android comes later, but we’re not promising a date. If you’d like to hear when it’s out, leave your email in the form below.
Can I use inches and pounds?
Yes. In Profile › Units you choose separately for circumferences, weight and height. Only changes how values are shown. Values already recorded aren’t rounded or lost.
Can several people use the same phone?
Yes, up to eight. Each has their own profile and measurements, kept apart. Add them in Profile › People.
Does Silueto tell me what’s healthy?
No. It’s a measurement log, not a medical device, and it doesn’t diagnose anything. BMI is a general formula, and you can hide it in Profile. The details are in the Terms, under “Information, not medical advice”.
